Fall is here and it is almost time for the plantings planned by the Friends of the Roxborough Greenbelt, with the help of funding from TD Friends of the Environment Foundation..
We need a good number of people out to help!
Wednesday, September 28, 10am: planting native shrubs along the creek in the greenbelt
This will help to stabilize the creek bank and shade the water.
We will also assist Junction Creek Stewardhip Committee in planting trees further along the bank.
Friday, Sept. 30 AND Saturday Oct.1, 11am: neighbourhood planting of native trees
This is part of our neighbourwoods project - filling gaps in the urban forest made up of neighbourhood yards, and maintaining the leafy character of the neighbourhood that we all enjoy
This is a great way to make a difference we can all see, and I hope many of you can join us!
Check back for further updates and activities on the Roxborough Greenbelt.
